Ivan F. Alvarez,  Music Consultant

Ivan F. Alvarez is the founder and President of CdA Group.  Before establishing CdA, Alvarez  served as Senior Vice President  Latin America for Universal Music Publishing
Group for more than ten years. He was responsible for running Universal Latin American
Region. Since Alvarez  opened the region for then MCA in late 1996, the operation grew to eight offices in the US and Latin America while the roster grew into one of the most prestigious team of songwriters in the Latin music industry. Prior to joining Universal Music Publishing, Alvarez was Director of Latin Membership for ASCAP. In his four years at ASCAP, Alvarez conducted intensive reviews of the way the ASCAP survey serve the Latin constituency and made substantive recommendations to improve the methods used
to capture performances of spanish language music. Alvarez ‘s professional background also includes work at the law firm of Feinman & Krasilovsky (the law firm of acclaimed author M. William Krasilovsky, author of “This Business of Music”) where he represented clients such as the estate of Rachmaninoff, the estate of Grant Green and a number of publishing companies in areas such as publishing administration,  royalty audits, contract  negotiations, estates and general consulting.
